Hi all, I would really love to get hear your opinions on treating these windows. The rooms are still not fully furnished (rugs, posters etc are coming) but it's mostly vintage furniture.
I just can't decide whether to put shades or curtains there. There is quite a large hotel facing the rooms and the street is quite narrow, so there is almost no privacy when it's dark. However, during the day, it's beautiful to see the windows uncovered as they really are large.
Curtains might make the space a bit more cozy but I'm not sure whether I like the idea of partially covering the windows (there is no space next to them). On the other hand, some transparent off-white/beige linen curtains combined with blackout curtains ceiling to floor might look great.
For shades I would probably pick something similar to the color in the third picture. But I'm not sure whether the space wouldn't feel incomplete with them (but I like having more control over the light and being able not to cover the windows at all and I really like the simplicity and a bit of a modern feature added to the overall vintage style).
What do you all think? I would appreciate any thoughts on this:)
Thnak you

Shades that are your theme color
Personally I would do individual blinds in color of your choice as to have more control over lighting options & open up the space or break it up a bit more visually. I have a lot of windows all next to my deck door and personally went with larger panel traditional blinds. I have also added curtains in front of the blinds for a bit more style in my room and have been extremely happy with not only privacy but light blocking and style. That’s just me though, and just a thought. Hope this helps somehow. Happy decorating!
