This bottle was part of a larger tasting I’ve participated in. WOW, I just love Rousseau with all my heart and have to say that this bottle was no exception. Unfined and unfiltered, so there was already a slight sediment present (which I don’t mind). In the glass it presented itself with a slightly dark cherry colour with a slight brown edge. The nose was enticing with loads of fresh small red berries, no way you would say this is 16 years old. On the palate the drive and juiciness this wine delivered was out of this world, the succulence, the fruit forwardness without being overtly “kitsch”, a true piece of art! It makes my mouth long for more, just writing about this. Drinks really well now, but probably has a long while to improve even further when the tertiaries really hit! Pinot Noir at its finest!

09 CSJ is great! I posted a horizontal with 09 and 13 Fourrier/Rousseau a couple months ago. Fantastic wines.
