I have a piece of art to hang up. I’m trying to make it feel comfy and kind of hotel like, I think? Of course I will make the bed. I have friends coming into town in a couple of days, so no big changes.

Any ideas on last minute things I can do to make it feel good in here? I’m imagining things I can get at the thrift or target. Thanks!

Remove fragrance items (insense sticks, glade) for scent sensitivities/allergies/migraines. If it’s in your budget, get an air purifier for the shared spaces (eg, living room).

Make the bed ofc. Make sure they have lots of clean towels and toiletries that they may have forgotten. Make a little sign with the wifi password. Things like that. Guests dont care about decor. They feel best when they don’t have to bug you in the middle of the night for random stuff, like an extra blanket or a tampon.

If you want to be extra, put a basket of snacks and waters in the room. Any little things like that that you can think of will go a long way
