My husband bought this for a TV stand in our living room. Neither of us are natural decorators but we just bought a home and want it to be homey.
How can I add something to this stand? I want to change all the pulls.. maybe add contact paper or paint?
He wants to stick with blue, green, yellow, pink, and purple as our homes color theme. Also, we both are clashing a little as I want slightly Rococo and he wants Baroque and, hear me out, a tiny sprinkle of nautical since we live on the beach. (Like a ship/ship piece, octopus, etc. here or there)
I have a couple rugs, and an grey/beige couch. I am very receptive to ideas and would even be thrilled over the help of making an inspiration board??
I guess what I’m saying is I don’t know what I’m doing, please help me be a grown up.

Rococo with baroque and a splash of nautical with 5 colors is something you might want to check out r/maximalism for. From a decorating standpoint, I’d stick with two main colors and incorporate the others as accents like throw pillows and artwork. Since you already have this piece I’d consider green and white, maybe blue as your primary colors. Then use yellow, pink, and purple in the accents. Canva has decent mood boards and I use Pinterest a lot for ideas.
For this piece in particular, think about changing the pulls to gold to incorporate baroque, and maybe add some gold accents like stenciled doors or gild the trim.
