hello! I’m looking for ideas on how to decorate this space. the left side is bigger than the right, so I might not be able to have the 2 sides be identical. my style is transitional, with a touch of modern farmhouse in some areas (live in the suburbs in TX lol). I definitely prefer neutrals, and minimal but oversized decorative items. thanks in advance!!

Not on topic but can you share with the class what kind of bag that is because I love it …
Remove the tv from there. It’s too high up.
Can we see the rest of the room? Maybe there’s another wall where a console could be placed? And then the tv would go above that.
I think the fireplace bump out should be a feature! With stone, wood paneling or a pretty wallpaper. And a big plant on either side!
r/tvtoohigh your tv is not supposed to go there….
You’re not showing much of the space, so it’s hard to give opinions.

Your TV is too high
First thing, your r/TVtooHigh
Never put a tv above the fire place, it totally changes the mood. It is also way too high. It needs to be about 20-24” lower. I’d put it on a side wall with a rotating mount.
I am on the Mount the TV to a Wall team, but if you’re sitting this close to it, it is too high. I’m sry.
