Having difficulty deciding on a colour to compliment the red brick wall. Tried a bit of the chocolate brown that is the 'feature wall' colour in our sitting room and front room, but wife & I think it is too dark for the hallway.
Wr are keeping the wainscoting white. Ceiling beams will be painted mahogany brown or black (we haven't decided yet).
Last two pictures are of the entrance hall that leads to the main room, one looking towards the front door, one looking from it.
The house is over 100 years old, walls have a textured plaster finish over the original lath & plaster walls.
The entry & room don't have to be the same colour as there is an old doorway separating them.
The wife hates the colour green by the way, so that's out!
