We have a sofa that has been well used by our toddler. In other words, it's embarrassingly dirty looking. We have another baby and we dont want to invest in a new sofa now that's only going to get dirty again, and want to hold off on the purchase for another few years. Also we'll need to upgrade to a house with more space and I'd rather make the purchase once we know what the new space will look like. I've washed it with a carpet cleaner, but there are some stains that aren't coming out. In hindsight, I wished I'd known to buy a couch with removable covers.
What can I do in the interim to cover up/ style the sofa? I'm not very good with interior decorating. I looked up sofa covers on Amazon, but I'm worried they might look very cheap. And I'm not sure where else I can look for solutions.
My sofa looks like this, except in dark green cloth. I have a dark blue rug if that provides any added context.
