How can I add some color in this rowhome? Am I better off painting the walls or the cabinets?

I’m struggling to visualize how to add some color to the main level of this home. I feel like the dining area walls could be painted an accent color, but what would match with both the gray cabinets and the off-white wall that runs the length of the house? I almost feel like I’m stuck either painting the cabinets or painting the entire level and staircase one color. I know this is isn’t a simple question but I appreciate feedback of any kind!
