Stupid. A walnut top not with live edge squared off would look great. This is Log cabin stuff

I approve of this kitchen.
As a kid, we had a coffee table with a jagged wooden top just like your countertops. I loved to leap over the table back and forth, until one day I finally leapt too close, scraped my leg and landed ribs-first on the other side.
Never again.

Sh***y AI art.

Beautiful countertop. God awful black/grey paint scheme

Like most AI art it looks nice when you scroll past it quick online, but once you look at it for more than a second you get confused.
Live edge wood is a bad counter top choice. The backsplash is wild, let alone whatever the additional live edge backsplash is supposed to be.

Someone needs to put that sad looking bread out of its misery. Or teach the AI what a loaf of bread looks like.

It’s pretty, but impractical.

It genuinely looks really great- whatever AI prompt you came up with was well phrased, this looks very clean/masculine/modern.
But as someone that works in kitchens full-time, the idea of a fully wood countertop, especially around the sink, is disastrous 🙃 the wood would inevitably warp around the sink area, and you’d have to constantly keep up with maintaining the wood (oiling it down, trying not to chip the live edges, immediately wiping up any moisture/spills). It’s not impossible, there’s plenty of butcher-block style countertops, but the routine maintenance and needing to upkeep a seal would be a bit of a headache. I suppose it’d be functional for someone that doesn’t cook much and only makes like coffee or tea.
Lovely design, though- you have an eye for aesthetics!(:

Beautiful but not practical in a real kitchen. But it’s beautiful.

These dark colors look great if you’ve got 10 ft ceilings and a high end home, but trying this in your 1982 ranch home will not pull it off as easily. Just a fact. I’ve lived this experience and I’m pretty good at ID. Also, the live edge counter is just impractical and not even aesthetically pleasing.

Why did my brain think the wood under the bottom shelf was a decorative wooden shoe

This sub needs AI ban. It’s not helping
Or a new sub for only real pics
