Claus Presinger ‘Puszta Libre’ 2022 – Top notch wine from Lake Neusidel Austria. Zweigelt, PN, and Saint Laurent. Very umami. Both black and red licorice. Hibiscus and lingonberries. After opening a taste of cured meats like salami and soppresata. Easily my favorite wine outta the bunch.
Lucy Margaux ‘Le Sauvignon Sensuel’ 2022 – Sauv Blanc from Adelaide Hills. Cloudy and effervescent. Super lime in this one. Spearmint on the nose and hints of yuzu. A very tropical take on Sauv B def enjoyed.
L’Arpette ‘A Petrolette’ – Sparkling Syrah from the Sud-Ouest region of France. Color was magnificent. Lots of earthy tones in this one. Wet gravel, pencil lead, wood ear and enoki mushrooms. Bone broth and pomegranate seeds. Funky.
Pino Roman ‘Naranjo’ – 50/50 Muscat of Alexandria and Torontel from Itata Valley Chile. Smells and tastes like a hoppy IPA. Pine resin and tamarind juice stand out. Chrysanthemums. Really solid wine only thing is I wouldn’t call this one an “Orange Wine” as it tastes and looks like an aged white.
