This is my first time trying a wine by this producer and I’m definitely impressed. I asked for something similar to Patrick Bouju’s Mol, since I wanted a cuvée with 5 grapes that coalesced perfectly and thus it has. Very purple fruit forward; not a lot of acidity but enough to balance out its richness and keep it fresh tasting. Blackberry, black cherry, currant and cassis. Glou-ish but grippy enough tannins to make it a more medium-light bodied wine… definitely want to try more from Coutelou especially his Muscat, please comment if you’d tried anything else in his selection.
