Craftsman houses are great. This room is not. The first major sin is that the drapes are absolutely the wrong color for both this wall color and that of the adjacent parlour–mauve and burgundy?? With a blue painted ceiling? No. Second, one or two animal heads is acceptable, if it fits with the style, but the furniture isn’t giving hunting lodge, it’s giving grandmother who knits doileys and asks you if you’d like some tea. Putting two of them in a corner with a fringe lamp providing uplighting just makes the room look like [we’re about to have Norman Bates sitting in the chair telling us about his sick mother](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv88ASiLmgk).

I agree with the other comments here, and add that it is just plain too cluttered in general. About half of the stuff in this photo needs to not be there, starting with the dead animal remnants (eww). Not only is there too much stuff, but if you look closely, almost everything is a different style! The floral chairs v the rugs, the glass candy jar on the table v the animal heads, that green lamp thing v the carved whatever it is on the right, the different style furniture again in the far room v the grandfather clock, just awful. That room was put together by someone who should not be allowed to do it again.
