Each house comes with a complimentary sniper

I understand brutalist, but this just looks almost run down. It needs something to break up the texture. Some nice floor rugs, wall art, something that’s not just raw concrete in texture and appearance to break up the interior

  3. Well yeah, this is béton brut, but not brutalist. Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is just industrial architecture converted, whereas brutalism would be more like Boston city hall or corbusier’s unité d’habitations?

Like any good prison, has bars on the Windows.

This looks like the kind of prison that they would send a mob boss to.

I love brutalist architecture and design but this high key looks like a hobo camp with furniture. It just looks so grimey… you can have clean and nicely patched concrete or am I just buggin and don’t understand rich people lol

  7. crypticsquidbuggybug

I could get behind this if it had floor to ceiling windows on one side but this just looks claustrophobic

  8. Looks more like a temporary art project.

    No lights. Nothing.

  9. looks like a repurposed prison and this interior isn’t really brutalist, just worn out concrete.

When you want to smoke crystal with style.

I love what you haven’t done to the place.

If I had to choose between this and solitary confinement in a supermax for the rest of my life it would take a minute.

If you fart in this room, how long does it take for the echo to become inaudible?

How do you read the pretentious collection of vintage French National Assembly records on the table in the foreground after the sun starts to set?

Skim coat all that concrete and you’re good to go. Of course, a rug wouldn’t hurt and even electricity might come in handy in the evenings.

What does this place look like at night? No visible lighting and nowhere to plug anything in (like a lamp), so good luck reading those books or magazines when it gets dark.

Also no doors and no way to shade the windows.

  15. Looks like the mob hangout spot in The Departed.

  16. mariusherea

That’s not a brutalist house. It’s an old factory with sofas in it

  17. woosley87

Oooh… they used this room as a set for a Halsey / Marshmello video called ‘Be Kind’.

  18. thewontondisregard

That is not Brutalist. That is an abandoned warehouse that someone dropped some furniture in. A no from me.

  19. karen_rittner54

Looks like a room where the mafia would torture someone.

there’s a house in spain infuriated : ” it’s always so nice! i want to see how many people die in it!!! “

  21. Do these houses have a lot of loose sediment? Or are the walls and ceiling sealed with something?

  22. thirstyrobot

What must have happened to you in childhood to design this way?

  23. selfobsessedandsexee

Not a single light fixture, at night do you just walk around with flashlights

  24. -Geist-_

I love it, now it needs plants and rugs. It’s not comfortable.

  25. spinfish56

They could just moving to syria and save a ton of money

  26. paku9000

    “Miscalculated the budget. Now what?”
“mmm, lessee… !… Just give it a fancy name, like “béton brut”, or even better: “Derelicte”.
If it sounds French it’s classy. Trust me, they’ll fall for it”

  27. muskie4242

Ugh… it could be SOOOO cozy and pretty…

  28. drinkwater1990

it looks like a trendy hobo house squatting situation
