I would have made this my Zoom background back when the pandemic was ravaging the world.

The 1930’s really were the height of home design. You get these awesome Spanish colonials, craftsmen, Tudor revivals, “modern” houses, storybooks, bungalows, and I’m sure there’s more not in the top of my head. Definitely my favorite time in history for the single family home. Just far enough into the present to be relatable but far enough removed that the craftsmanship and quality are still there in even the common house. The ones that are left now are here because they were made by the right folks or were found by the right ones to save them from the chopping block. If only everyone had a passion to preserve and maintain these classic abodes, the world would be a prettier place for sure.

I could very easily be comfortable in a home like this.

Oh wow. A friend of mine in Argentina had a very similar house. Fully reminds me of that. Almost identical.

[Designer website with more pics](https://www.katiehodgesdesign.com/beverlyhillsaddition). There’s an [Archdigest article from 8 years ago](https://www.architecturaldigest.com/gallery/katie-hodges-stunning-spanish-colonial-revival-in-beverly-hills) but it’s behind a paywall.
