Was this in Mad Men? When Pete backs the Camaro into the sign in front of all the Chevy execs because he can’t drive a stick.

I farted in there once and I could see the gas rise up to the decorative ceiling

There are quite a few beautiful buildings in Detroit. This one is prob my favorite. Nice pic.

Don’t let the peaceful protestors know about it

I got to spend an afternoon there at WJR in the 80s. It was still a full service radio station with a newsroom, reporters, and lots of deep voiced old school hosts. It took up an entire floor. Very cool experience. Beautiful building.

I discovered this building when exploring Detroit in 2017. I was astounded. This photo does it justice.

I used to work in this building for around 5 years. It is beautiful all the way thru to the offices on the upper floors. It’s a mini city with restaurants, shopping, post office and a shoeshine shop! There are underground tunnels and air walkways connecting it to other buildings. Really cool place

The Fisher is a beautiful building and it’s where I saw my first musical! The national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.

The Masonic Temple is even more gorgeous in my opinion.

Glorious place. The Fisher Theater behind those doors is dated, but in a cool way. Late 50’s/60’s vibe, whereas so much of Detroit’s finest exteriors and interiors are from the nineteen teens and twenties. The “Golden Tower of the Fisher Building” is still a way-finding landmark, years after the red “General Motors” sign came down off of what is now Cadillac Place.

I used to work in the Albert Kahn Building, which is part of New Center and connected to the Fisher Building through very uninspired Perspex-covered pedestrian bridges. I used to love wandering around at lunch hour, putting my mail into a brass & glass mail tube so baroquely festooned it looked like it belonged at Versailles.

My lawyers office is on the top floor of that building. It’s gorgeous, but the infrastructure is destroyed. Floors are constantly flooding from ailing pipes.
