There is so much about this that just looks *off*

Isn’t that just another name for paneling? The real kind, not the pressed-board variety from the ’70s.

What’s with the board behind the hand towel rig? Is it warped?

What about the splits in the shop lap? This was not well executed, but a nice idea.

Shiplap is horizontal. You can’t just call something <other than horizontal> shiplap. Being horizontal is part of the definition of what makes it shiplap. Also, even if that *was* horizontal it’s still not shiplap. Shiplap refers to a specific way of cutting and joining the boards. Despite what Chip and Joanna Gaines would have the world believe, merely having horizontal boards on a wall doesn’t make it shiplap. What you have there my friend is some paneling.

Tile horizontal, shiplap vertical and then the thought process on selecting the vanity was what? To break it up a little? The gash in the wood at the bottom
Of panel 3 would drive me insane, then my eyes to the doors on the vanity at the bottom not aligning. Replace the black handles on the vanity. That large floor tile is weird

Oh, I thought shiplap was more narrow by nature

Is the towel bar crooked or is it just me? I can’t tell if it is how the picture was taken?

Looks great! Really like the colour combinations.

Is that a pre-built vanity? Do you have an id you can share?

Not exactly RoomPorn, is it? More like Room-Middle-School-Fanfic

why is everyone a shiplap expert whenever that word is in the title.

Where is the vanity from, really like it!

The baseboard shouldn’t be exactly at the same plane as the shiplap. There needs to be an additional board placed at the floor level to cover that board currently acting as a baseboard. That quarter round acting as a toe kick shouldn’t be that elevation, (most projection) on the baseboard.

The tile is too large, and shouldn’t be placed in that pattern. The gray color is completely off tone from the color of the shiplap and the vanity.

The placement of the towel racks are completely off and not placed correctly.

The pulls in the vanity doors do not match the faucet.

    The crown is completely inadequate

The size of the lighting fixture is way too small based in the vanity mirror

The white trim on the left, used to cover bad cuts between the shiplap adjacent to the drywall is a jarring visual miss.

I do like the color of the shiplap though, so there’s that.

After reading some of the comments here I’m concerned for a couple of you guys. You’re a bunch of psychopaths.

We’ve come back around to the paneling my grandparents had.

The only good use of vertical shiplap is to hide a secret room. The only good use of regular shiplap is as scrap.
