Maybe I’m missing something but this is already pretty great!

Looks absolutely fantastic, no changes needed

Thank you all for the support, but any thoughts on a color that could work besides white on the backsplash? I’m considering knobs that match the pendant lights too

I really don’t think you should make the backsplash colored. To me, it’s a very small space and a colored back splash may make things look smaller. I’d add some nice trailing house plants on some of the shelves, and add some more natural elements to “warm things up”. You could replace the flowers with a wooden tea light candelabra and greenery, replace the barstools with something more natural and woven, for example. You could even add a small bright runner rug to the area in front of the fridge, stove and sink. You have a beautiful kitchen that is a great canvas for you to design to your liking.

I think you can really achieve the look you’re going for by changing some design elements. Like I really don’t think replacing the handles with knobs is going to change anything or accomplish what you’re looking for.

okay, so it’s a gorgeous and classic kitchen! i feel like all you really have to work with are accessories, honestly. the back splash goes all the way up to the cabinets so there’s no changing paint color anywhere in here. you could maybe change the hardware on the cabinets, get something a little bit more warm and earthy rather than harsh metals (to tie into the wood shelves)i would recommend putting a nice runner in the kitchen that would add some color, again gravitating towards earthiness. i see there’s a window to the left near the fridge, you could potentially add some window treatment to make it all a little more fluid and whimsical? figure out ways to add more TEXTURES to your kitchen. i would go with runners that offer warmth and depth, maybe something to add to the chairs. another thing you can do is change the lighting style. not the fixtures, but one thing i personally absolutely love are the philip’s hue lights. you can change the vibe of your space by making the lights colored a certain way. you could also add underlighting to the cabinets using the hue brand.

and finally, i highly recommend adding plants! plants will liven the area up while softening it naturally.

    goodluck!

I think a rug might help, and maybe different stools? Definitely something with some texture and color would warm up this kitchen. Check out ruggable – they have machine wash rugs.

Add more/ larger plants on your floating shelves! Greenery will add color and life

I think it looks great, already homey and inviting.

You could paint the lowers or the island a darker color (blue and green are on trend right now). That would add warmth to the space

It’s really nice as it is, but if you want an update to the look you can change out your handles and even get a grout that will go over existing grout to change its colour. I’m not sure of what the equivalent in your country may be called

This kitchen is amazing and I think it feels really cozy and homey! I like the idea of adding home plants or maybe some herbs in front of the window. Also maybe changing out the barstools for a warmer color, wood, or leather might help warm up the space a bit. Other than that I think it’s beautiful!

The main thing for me would be having the fridge hinged to open toward the wall instead of into the kitchen. What were they thinking?

If there is a soffett or room definition, then I would paint the ceiling. So unexpected and fun!

More plants and incorporate something wood 🙂

I’d say change your handles to possible brushed bronze knobs! Or painting your cabinet colors- possibly a dark blue (keep good handles) or maybe a pale olive green?

Loving the pops of color you already have (turquoise vase, red in flowers and pictures) and the open shelves. Why not add some decorative accents to play off those? Swap out the lights for lower, more colorful ones, and add a runner.

Please change the hinge on the fridge!

I think it’s really nice already. I’d just keep it lively with the odd seasonal decoration (like your flowers). You could maybe get some funkier stools? But really I think your kitchen is lovely.

How about a pretty bowl of lemons or apples?

Empty the shelves on show, get some plants faux or real, that trail for the left corner and intersperse with your cook books.

On the shelves on the right hand side put your practical every day items you use and then more plants. Though it does already look good just some more larger or different sized pieces.

Remove what ever it is on the counter between the fridge and cooker, if you need it there the move it into the corner and perhaps replace the container.

Replace the photo frames on the wall, the frames are too dark so either one large colourful piece of art or spray the existing frames a lighter colour.

Change your grey seats to something more country chic that blends with your floor and shelving. Maybe just change the fabric to keep costs down as they are a nice shape.

Get rid of the flowers on the counter top and replace with a low larger wooden bowl, perhaps with fruit or your nicknacs in it.

I like your kitchen as is. How about an Oriental style runner for the floor?

Beautiful kitchen! I think if you replaced your two dome hanging lights over the island with two (triangular?) leaded lamps. I think the color and shape would real be a lot more warming. Also new hardware on cabinets that doesn’t look so machined

  22. DrizztSkywalker

Cutting board countertops and new barstools would get that down home look.

It’s a beautiful kitchen. I would just add some colorful dish towels.
