I’m not trying to be a smart ass, but honestly I’m not sure what the solutions are to the things you wrote other than replacement? Cheap cabinets can be painted, but the wood will still be cheap. I don’t see how you could change the position of a sink without completely replacing the countertop and moving all the plumbing underneath.

I think the sink is exactly correct. A nice landing area to its left to set things down from the fridge. Then a large working area to the right. Symmetry is overrated.
