This was a real treat tonight. Barry Family Cellars Leon Millot Pet Gnat. Fizzy red, bone-dry, bursting with plum and berry notes, clean drinking. I recommend this extra extra cold. Freezer style. We tried it both fridge chilled and freezer. Was like a blackberry soda. Leon Millot (an old red variety of hybrid grape from Alsace) grown sustainably at the high elevation Ball Vineyard. Handpicked and whole cluster pressed. Allowed to ferment with native yeast and finished in the bottle. Unfined, unfiltered, undisgorged.

I had their Riesling Pet Gnat and it was awesome. I’ll have to be on the lookout for this one.
