Magnífico! Super drinkable red made from 100% Sumoll grapes farmed biodynamically in Penedes, Catalunya, Spain. The grapes were macerated on the skins for about 15 days and then pressed into used oak foudres and clay amphorae. The wine aged for about 1 year in those vessels, and then, all blended, for one more year in stainless steel, before being bottled unfiltered with no added sulfites.
Lipsmacking tart red fruit, barnyard funk, herbs. A chillable summer delight.
*The millenary lentiscus tree on their estate speaks volumes of their history. Located in the Parc Natural del Garraf, nestled between the Mediterranean coast and the Garraf mountains south of Barcelona, Manel Avinyo and his family have been farming this land since 1939. Like the protected falcons overlooking the area, Sumoll is an indigenous grape of the region and Manel has a knack for showing it’s more elegant, softer side.*

Wow! I’ve never seen this, or even a label from those guys like this.
Their Blanc de Noir Cava is one of my all time faves!
