Blocking part of the bookshelf mars the perfection, but I understand the human frailty behind such a decision. It is a powerful symbol, reminiscent of the legendary Rolling Stone song lyric, “you can’t always get (the sectional) you want.”

This makes me miss Poland. I hadn’t gone for almost 20 years. The last time I went, I realized Europe really has better taste than most of America… At least in regard to interior decorating and the like.
