Really depends where you are. In Boulder, CO, $30k will get you a nice kitchen in that space.

Looks like an apartment I had in St Louis many years ago.

Unless there’s a copy of Hustler magazine in one of those drawers, I fail to see how this qualifies as “kitchen porn”.

I love our new butcher block countertops. They’re cheap at the big box stores now and easy to install as a DIY.

I would suggest some fire insurance, and whatever happens, happens.

Did a 10×10 kitchen for $16k. Kept the cabinets and put on new doors and hardware. Quartz counters, new lighting, new appliances, tile back splash. Didnโt touch the flooring.

Consider looking for second hand kitchens. Find a big kitchen someone is selling. You won’t use all the units because this is a small kitchen. And you might need to get new worktops to fit better. But it is a great way to get a kitchen.
And second hand doesn’t mean old. People upgrade a lot or make kitchen extensions etc. So they can be nice.

Ikea is your best bet for counter tops at all price points – they have some laminate that looks like butcher block and another that has a real wood outer layer that goes with just about everything.

I could see 7k pulling it off easy. 1200 for cabinets, 2k for granite countertops, labor demo and removal for the rest plus 200 for sink install and plumbing

How goes the design planning on this? My kitchen is newer but kinda similar so Iโm curious.
