This is almost certainly my own personal taste but it feels very weird and not quite right to see these lovely old wood joists and beams contrasted with EXTREMELY BRIGHT WHITE MODERN INTERIORS.

Something like this should feel at least a little dark and subdued, all the white is too… energizing.

  2. gorgeous space, crappy furniture. Are those chairs Ikea? how about a nice big rug, really tie the room together?

  3. I love it, needs a lot more wooden furniture tho, not white IKEA chairs. And as someone said, a nice rug.

Think my dream home is a barn conversion. Can they be done with modern insulation methods and maintain their rustic charm?

  5. Should’ve put bedrooms up there instead. Waste of space leaving it open.

Lol they kept a stick house and built everything around it. Doesn’t really speak to me.

I hate white so fucking much. And those minimalist chairs are so boring. Next.

Anybody else just gets pain and death vibes?

I don’t like this. I think they’ve butchered the interior of the barn and the wood work barely makes sense any more.

It looks like you go up the stairs and then back along the balcony? Why not put the stairs in a more useful poition.

The floor is just far too industrial.

I’ve been in a lot of 17th century barns, either they’ve replaced huge amounts of woodwork or this is the best preserved 17th century barn in the history of barns.

I really like old wooden exposed beams and such. For me, it adds character and an earthy type of vibe, BUT BY GOD, do I hate when the entire room is white. The walls are white, the chairs are white, and the floor is white. I think with a bit of colour this place could be great.

  11. I hope those joists aren’t loadbearing. All of them are structurally compromised

  12. I’m sorry but the white walls clash with the wooden beams like Iranian protesters with police

I hate all the white, especially those floors! Ugh!

It’s really pretty, but feels too warehouse for me to live comfortably in it.

The natural wood with the stark black and white is very Scandi.

It needs more plants and color. This space has all the character and soul of an Ikea flat-pack box, without its contents.
