I cry every time I see that counter top. Britannica by Cambria? 3 years ago we redid our kitchen with that and this year we moved to a bigger house but with a 70s original kitchen blergh!

May I ask why you went for a gas stove top? It seems like most American homes have that. I am European and I would go for an induction based electronic stove top, as mostly everyone here do (at least in the Nordics).
