I like the layout so I will be keeping it. The second refrigerator is going to go. I’m thinking new cabinet doors, new hardware, new countertops, new back splash, and new appliances. We will adventure to replace the tile floor but not right away. So, all that being said what are your guys opinions? Should I keep the white? If I add in color, what color?

If the cupboard doors are in good condition, I’d be tempted to paint the walls, and look to change the door handles.

LED under-cupboard lighting would make it feel more contemporary; what about Hue light bulbs, where you can change the colours.

The wall colour would depend on the colour scheme in the rest of the house, and whether south facing.

A warm colour? E.g. if red go for an orange-based red.

A large statement painting/print would lift it, too.

I actually really like the white. With the second fridge out of the way, I’d add a round rug and round table/chairs into the nook by the window. Add in some wood tones (like a nice cutting board etc) and a rug in front of the sick with a bit of colour. If you’re just moving in I’d live with it for a bit and give it some time to come up with a plan that works for how you use the room.

Instead of replacing the tile your could get luxury vinyl tile installed on top.

That floor is bad. I’d bet that happened when the dishwasher leaked. Get that floor taken care of first. It may escalate. There could be mold and you may have to replace some subfloor. After that’s done you’ll have a better idea of what’s remaining in your budget for the rest. Edit: sp

Please center the cabinet over the sink…..or get rid of all those wall cabinets on the sink side and use floating shelves instead

    Budget upgrade ideas:

    1. built in fridge look: box in the fridge with edge banded MDF, build a cabinet above it that comes flush with the fridge doors and paint the same as the cabinets.
    2. coffee bar: Buy a cabinet from Big Orange or Big Blue – the unfinished paint ready wood front type to replace that microwave cart. I would prefer the microwave built into the cabinet – like a drawer style microwave, and that would leave the top open for a coffee bar. Until then, paint the cart either to match the wall or to match the cabinets. Consider a smaller microwave.
    3. Find a slide in range on FB marketplace if you cannot buy a new one and get rid of the range with the tall back.
    4. paint walls: Warm up the wall color and leave the cabinets and ceiling bright white.
    5. lighting: Get a warmer color light bulbs. Those sunlight bulbs are for manufacturing facilities (I made the mistake of getting these and had to remove and exchange them)
    6. add three wood toned elements – shelves, wooden decor items, wood frame.
    7. change out the knobs and the handles to match each other, the black is nice

This kitchen needs some color badly β€”even if it is just wood tones. It’s all washed out and looks like an asylum break room. Hardwood throughout the home in a warm classic oak would look like a million bucks. Or even butcher block countertops if you can’t afford hardwood. Honestly the white countertops with the white cabinets are totally fine if you add in a contrasting backsplash. If you want a more classic white backsplash, some light grey or soapstone countertops would look great. To me, door handles and pulls often look like a fun change online, but in person and when you touch it, the quality is what matters. I’d think about using real brass. The white walls are too white. There are so many whites out there, so pick something with a teensy tiny bit of taupe so it looks more like a home. What lumens are the pot lights? Maybe warm that up a little too. Also a new sink will make the place look more lux. If you get new countertops, I really like these undermounts with the pull down faucet: https://www.homedepot.com/p/KRAUS-Standart-PRO-30in-16-Gauge-Undermount-Single-Bowl-Stainless-Steel-Kitchen-Sink-KHU100-30/203058416?g_store=&source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&pla&mtc=Shopping-BF-F_D29B-G-D29B-029_021_KITCH_SINKS-Multi-NA-NA-PLA-NA-NA-Priority_SKUs&cm_mmc=Shopping-BF-F_D29B-G-D29B-029_021_KITCH_SINKS-Multi-NA-NA-PLA-NA-NA-Priority_SKUs-71700000032854064-58700003856902565-92700030977076416&gbraid=0AAAAADq61UeHeAqALTAicISvqF7BsEZpK&gbraid=0AAAAADq61UeHeAqALTAicISvqF7BsEZpK&gclid=Cj0KCQjw29CRBhCUARIsAOboZbKkuqhls0Xu923xXcReuyXmxnJzNFqiJbPMaDiJU7x7prabWxGboeYaAnk1EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

New and consistent hardware on the cabinets.
