I’m not in here that often, but I’m developing a true appreciation of Sydney! I was surprised to read it was a Victorian, because in the US, this would look more like a 70’s reno. And I do love our 70’s homes.
My only issue is with those kitchen cabinets extending into the living area, including the fireplace. When you showed the more full picture, obviously that kitchen is small. My instinct might be to incorporate the dining area into the kitchen, so that wouldn’t be needed. Then you could showcase the fireplace and pretty bricks better.
As you can see, I really got into this, so thank you.

That 70s style brick just turns me. It reminds me of my primary school that was built around that time, and had that same exposed brickwork everywhere. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

I think it would be better without that white cover thing that’s going on.

something I hadn’t considered until recently is the Australia is fairly unique in having a Mediterranean climate and not being an active seismic zone.

How do places with these types of sliding doors avoid vermin from getting in?

Reminds me of an older LDS church’s “architecture” for some reason. Put a bit of scratchy carpet on the walls and watch the tax-free income roll in.

It’s a lovely space but why oh why organise your books like that? I know it’s a styling trend right now but just makes it look like noone in the house actually reads.

Pretty shitty bricklaying to be honest. Hopefully this is a reno and they were laid 40 years ago

I always wanted a house with a big open sliding door, but then I realized I’d have it open zero days of the week because of bugs…

Nice
Is that a fireplace to the right of the library?
