It’s really weird how much your kitchen looks like mine…just spend a few minutes with the GF finding the differences. we have the same quartz as the counter top turned up the wall as a backslash.

Really curious how you are liking the wall oven under the cooktop without having top controls. I really want to do this except with an induction, haven’t found any out there with top controls. The built in looks a lot better than a freestanding range.

Usually I love white metro tiles, but in this space as it is it’s be deadly boring. I’d suggest cobalt blue, bright red, mulberry, or match your Le Creuset 👍

Try solid stainless steel, they make several different patterns. I think it would work well with the gray, easy to clean, and would be super easy to put up and take down if you do not like it.

Personally, not a fan of metro tiles because they have that bathroom look. I’d also stay clear of grout in a splash/cooking zone.
I do love your kitchen though.
Too much white. I would try to find a beautiful unique tile with some color
