Gettings,
Finishing a kitchen on the cheap for a rental. It’s near the beach so I’ve been doing a beach theme.

Cabinets are from Lowe’s.

I’m either doing a Hickoky wood by Diamond Now
Or
Blue cabinets on the bottom with white cabinets on top by Allen+Roth

Rest of the house is going to be in neutral colors, either will match.

Do you think blue bottoms with wood tops would look good?
I’m undecided as I think wood cabinets might not look that Beachy, blue on bottom white on top is nice but I heard white cabinets are not a good idea.

What’s with the space between the sink and drawers in the lower run?

    What’s wrong with white cabinets?

Blue with wooden bench top would look great, and white/off white above keeps things light.

I will say I think kitchens look better when you take upper cabinets to the ceiling or make a finished top to them rather than that weird false front with dust catcher behind it.

Teague wood cabinetry would look incredible in there. Only thing is unless it’s a veneer or thermo- foil product it would not be cheap.

Wood can definitely be beachy. It’s usually lighter, blonde wood tones from what I’ve seen.

That particular style in hickory doesn’t fit tho so I would stick with the blue on all the cabinets since you’re concerned about having the white.
