FIOR DI ROSSO by Nino Barraco Rustic, cozy, deep. Mostly Pignatello + Nero d’Avola Sicilian (Marsala) red wine. Blasts of dark fruit like pomegranate swirled with spiced peppery notes. Sometimes it’s fruity, sometimes it’s earthy. Kind of depends on the way the wind blows. Sipped with steak tacos and roasted poblano quesadillas, but would love to see what it can do to a classic pizza or pasta dish.
