Had this beauty on Xmas and it was magical. Had a blanc-gamay from Chile to open up the night but this one was soooo good! There’s this smell I look for sometimes, I describe as cow poop, when it smells this way, I know the wine is probably gonna be incredible. Doesn’t pop up often with some of the Bay Area producers I have been drinking recently. Also, not sure if it is a soil thing or what causes this. Maybe I will learn one day. I think this variety was Grenache and muscat. I’m not too familiar with Grenache but have been digging a lot of muscat blends I’ve had recently. Bottle picked up 2 weeks ago in Oakland, CA at Ordinaire. Highly recommend this one and it a fair price point $20 or so if I remember correctly. Wasn’t familiar with this producer.
