Eric Pfifferling (previously a beekeeper) organically farms 7 hectares of vines in the Tavel region. The winemaking is done naturally with minimum interventions and with natural yeast.
The wine is mostly made of Grenache Noire and Cinsault, and completed with Carignan and Clairette. It underwent a carbonic maceration for 10 days and was elevated on fine lees before been bottled.

Apparently it’s a rosé but looks and tastes like a red.
It took two hours to really shine through but this was phenomenal, it had incredible drinkability with the appropriate complexity to keep you invested in every glass, the perfect balance. Glistening freshness, pure red fruits from the carbonic with a touch of spices, then lots and lots of roses and pomegranate.

Truly an incredible and rich wine. The Tavel Vintage is aged for longer and should bring even more complexity.

  2. First wine I ever tried was the 2010 vintage
