I’m in the midst of a massive first floor renovation and can’t seem to find a range hood I like. We have no upper cabinets so the hood is a focal point. Every wall mount stainless steel unit looks the same regardless of its $500 or $5000. I feel like they just get lost on the 15ft long wall. Looking for something to compliment the “elegant farmhouse” look we’re going for.

I agree, as a focal point there all looking the same, even a patena look would be interesting or an old farmhouse looking potbellied upside down stove look would be fun. Side note, did you look at IKEA, they had a slimline one that was different but much smaller then most. Good luck and send more pics

Might have to venture into the custom built realm. Kitchen looks incredible. Copper is just plain awesome.

Can you use tile to create a focal point that works with the hood?

You could build a surround for one and get something more unique. Here’s a link to a company that makes kits, looks like they also do custom work. [https://www.archwaysandceilings.com/collections/custom-range-hoods](https://www.archwaysandceilings.com/collections/custom-range-hoods)

The insert is too small for the hood. A 48″ range should have a 52″ insert on a 54″ hood. The one in this picture might be a 42″ insert on a 48″ range.

I do think the appearance of the hood looks good.
Cool range hood
