It had been a while since I drank a Riesling and I wanted to try a new producer from Alsace. The cellar I frequent the most recommended this to me for the price range (bellow 20€ and I paid 17€) I feel comfortable with when I want to try a new producer. This delivered and exceeded my expectations. One thing that I kept in mind is that apparently Domaine Loew lost it’s biodynamic certification between 2009 and 2018 before reclaiming it in 2018. They also offer bottles with and without any sulfite additions and I feel this one had some addition because of how long it kept it’s life after opening it.

The wine first opened with the distinctive aroma of petrol that I was looking for, minerals and a floral touch and later displayed more citrus fruits and bitter orange with hints of honey. Similar taste with gentle bitter ends. It had a good body accompanied by a present minerality and ended with great saltiness that went in tandem with a good finish. Good mouthfeel overall. I drank this wine in the course of 6 days and it maintained a great balance and energy all the way and only waned a little bit in the last two days but still remained good with aromas losing some intensity nonetheless. This is definitely a well made wine and one that delivers for its price imo.
