Domaine Mont de Marie: Anathèma 2018. Light with a bit of effervescence when it first opened. A little juicy (cherry cola-like) and then quickly opened up to some beautiful earthy notes. Carbonic maceration.
Funny, I asked the somm what the grapes were and he said that I wouldn’t know them because they were very obscure grapes from rhone. I ended up looking up the grapes myself and they are: Aramon cinsault and Carignan… lolz. super obscure. Oh also, I believe this wine is from Languedoc btw–not rhone. Still a great recommendation on his part though.
