looks like one of those house that you have a cleaner to get the dust in all those cracks in the floor.

Oh man, Rose Tarlow is so amazing! This is her home? I’ll have to look it up!
Her outdoor fabrics are gorgeous.

I’m a bit disappointed at how *blah* this is, for a room in a house that an interior designer owns! Boring colours, too busy, that vine growing everywhere looks like it has grown itself in through the windows because the place been abandoned for a few months, as opposed to a deliberate design choice.
The only coloured spot in the whole thing is the pot of blue pencils on that table at the bottom of the picture.

Far too bland for me

My immediate reaction was “I hate this” but I can’t quite put my finger on why

Looks far too busy. Like when a person is into tattoos and doesn’t know when to stop.

I feel like I , in a store showroom. Just chalk full of items so they can sell more. Too busy. I don’t mind the neutral colors, but I do mind the vine. It gives abandoned mansion vibes.

Was that rug just put down? That would drive me bonkers.

Being a skilled designer doesn’t mean you design things to everyone’s taste.

When is this pic from? Looks like the mid 90s

Looks like shit. The only thing that looks good here is the house itself. Beautiful floors and ceiling and built-in bookcases. But all the furniture and decorations (save the vines) are just a mess. It feels like I’m in a furniture store.

I don’t know, the vines hanging down from the ceiling creep me out… I just imagine crumpled leaves getting everywhere and insects and whatnot. How do you keep that clean?
I do like nature and plants and have lots of potted plants in the house but there’s a limit to everything, this here would be really too much for me. There are things that belong in a garden instead of a living room. Just my opinion.

is it too lame of me worring about the dead brunches and bugs falling from the root on the sealing? I’d love to stay here for a trip tho
