You could also just go with pressed tin panels. Get them powder coated rather than paint them.

I’d go with a cream to pull in the appliance color. White will be too stark. Zellige would be really nice, or fireclay’s handmade subway or brick.

White Marble scross the whole wall. Grout is your enemy.

You need something white and simple to break up all that black

Try something with a copper look; it’ll tie together the green of the cabinets & the wood, and it’s visually interesting! (Disclaimer: I have no experience or expertise here, just a hatred of boring kitchens!)

2″x12″ white tile with dark grout to compliment the soapstone

Plain white subway tile. Keep it simple. Looks great. Timeless

I’d go with a linear wall tile. You got some darks going on so a multiple color linear tile would make it pop. Gorgeous color choices btw. We went liear and dumped the subway tile idea real quick. To much subway tile out there now. It’s like the 80-90s 4×4 white ceramic tiles every builder was using. Meh….

Wood. Like you have on the hood.

I’d love to see some texture there. Tiles similar to these ones would bring texture, but could still be in white.

What are the appliances? I love the look.
Not plain subway, but something with texture. Looks like your house is older with plaster walls. I love the look of marble but too scared to place it behind a range. We did this tile. https://www.flooranddecor.com/porcelain-ceramic-decoratives/zellige-pearl-opal-polished-ceramic-tile-100776673.html
[You’re welcome](https://m.zellige-tiles.com). I would go with the second from the top left.
Cambria 2cm Britannica gold, will tie together the white and copper, no grout. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-samsung-gs-rev1&sxsrf=APwXEddJJXdVuTbsSJ8Q4-tkWp7HCb9vDg:1681341582983&q=britannica+gold+cambria+backsplash&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwisubK-vaX-AhWyElkFHRKlAXYQ0pQJegQIFhAB&biw=412&bih=722&dpr=2.63#imgrc=Xml8t0MnMNFQKM&lnspr=W10=
White concrete looking engineered stone.
I’d go with Caesarstone cloud burst.
