The more I get into wine I'm realizing I guess I just don't like fruit! This is beyond the CT drinking window by 5 years, yet was still amazing. Popped and poured and was ready to go.
On the nose, black pepper, earthy. Then there's just a hint that there used to be blackberry, but at this point sanguine is the only descriptor that really fits, plus a bit of leather/tobacco. Medium finish, tannins quite integrated by now. A delight!
