The ~$750 is everything in my living room except the TV (I spent more on a nicer TV since everything else was pretty cheap).
Moved in about 3 months ago. This is me and my girlfriend’s [22] first apartment after college. Most of the stuff is secondhand (Facebook Marketplace, Goodwill, estate/garage sales, etc).
I feel like I found a few solid pieces, but honestly some stuff was just filler because it was cheap. My main problem right now is figuring out what to add, what to remove, and what to move.
I want to add more wall stuff (paintings / frames), but I’m not sure where or how to arrange it. I’m also not sure if I like how the floating shelves are arranged on the wall.
I bought a painting I really like (last pic) but I’m worried it might be too big / not work with the shelves.
Open to all opinions, if it looks like a mess please tell me 😭 This is my first time actually decorating a space so im just trying things. I’m also trying to mix our styles. I like the earth tone/vintage vibe and my girlfriend likes more white/coquette, so we’re trying to find a good middle ground.

I think you’re off to a great start. I love the curtains!
If it were me I would lose the floating shelves altogether and just center the painting on that wall. I think it’s a small space and approaching feeling crowded but I think getting rid of the floating shelves will help.
I think it’s a pretty solid setup for something you put together quickly with secondhand stuff! Looks really cozy.
I think the painting could work if you repositioned the shelves in a way that cut the wall space in half—like, the three shelves on one side, painting centered on the other side? I’m not sure it would work on any of the other walls.
The only item I think you should prioritize replacing is the coffee table. It stands out a lot next to all of the natural wood/black furniture.
