Since we bought our house, I've been working toward our (well…mostly "my") dream of a gorgeous green living room. Very Victorian-coded, kind of creepy, lots of plants and curiosities and antiques. I want the room to sort of revolve around a glorious green Chesterfield-style three-seater and an apothecary table set I got from my grandparents, then paint the walls green to match the sofa.
We ultimately want to have something custom-made, but I found something on FB Marketplace to tide us over in the meantime: an emerald-green velvet Chesterfield that I got for a steal. I think it was probably a Wayfair find, though, because it's kind of stiff and you can feel the top of the back frame through the stuffing. My husband has vetoed it and I'm not the biggest fan of it either.
We're going to poke around some furniture stores and test similar couches if we can, but has anyone found a Chesterfield couch that is comfortable to sit on? Or is this simply a form over function type of sofa?
