I’ve been struggling to decorate my hallways because they’re so narrow and don’t have outlets (except for by my front door). I’m worried that hanging anything big will make the space feel too tight. The first hallway is pretty dark too and only has that one sconce. All these pictures were taken about noon.

You could only fit pictures, but even that might make it feel even more narrow. Perhaps wallpaper or a wallpaper border?
A longer runner and a gallery wall with small to medium-sized frames would be my first thoughts.
Along with light, add color and depth. First one’s the easier part.
Second means possibly adding niches (depends on what’s behind the drywall), arches, or crown molding.
Light via a skylight or two would really liven it up as well.
you could paint them? hang stuff up – doesn’t have to be thick you could put up some posters just on the walls, if you want frames then get thin frames so they don’t jut out
i would get a longer rug maybe and also a better one – this one is kinda boring. I don’t know what you’re able to do and the vibe you’re going for, but I would look up “home color palette inspiration” or something like that to try and pick some colors to shoot for when decorating the space
A buddy of mine made a huge grid of pictures of family and friends, all the same sizes and picture frames. It makes everyone pause and look at all the photos. It’s really a special space you would never consider
An art wall ONLY on one side and stick on gallery lights will highlight the wall & brighten the space. Two art walls will close the hall in more.

Knock out that wall on the left. Make a big landing room
