It is always going to have that hotel look, which I always think is kind of soulless and takes away any options if you ever want to move your bed, but if this is the dream go for it.
Due to the fact that you will need to add outlets and lights to whatever wall you will be installing the headboard to, I would highly recommend hiring a handyman/contractor with carpentry experience. Not saying it’s out of your abilities to do, but imo the cost to pay someone is 100% worth not having to deal with the aggravation yourself. To save on expenses, have them install it then you can paint/prime yourself if the quote is too high to start.
