Furniture and art is from listing, not mine. Looking at the fireplace the entrance on the right is to the kitchen and entrance on the left is to the dining room.
I don’t like the idea of putting a TV above the fireplace. It’s quite large and we’re planning to remove the fireplace insert at a later date.
Where would you put a TV in this room? It’s quite large, there is a staircase to the right side near the kitchen entrance. Windows are small for the space, it’s an older home so would like to avoid blocking any windows.

Sorry some typos in the post, having trouble editing.
If you need to have the TV in that room, maybe where you have that big piece of art currently or where those two tower bookcases are. You can move the big art piece over the fireplace – it would probably look better there anyway.
Or get one of those TVs that look like an art piece– I think it’s Samsung. I’m just not a fan of TVs in the front rooms or over fireplaces. They’re just ug.
Beside the fireplace where the bookshelves are, could make it an entertainment center where the ev is surrounded by books. Or you can do the r/tvtoohigh method and put it over the fireplace.
