We just bought a home and need to hang curtains in the windows on our main floor. We have two double windows and two single windows to cover. We plan to live here for a long time and can finally do things like drilling! But we have no idea what to get! We are thinking we want curtains that end around the trim rather than floor length for this room (air vents are below all the windows, could be a fire hazard to have them hanging directly above them)

Option A: install rods above the white trim

Option B: install rods within the white trim

Option C: install small single rods that go within the inner frame of each individual window

We’re having a handy friend come over tonight to help with house stuff so I’m going to try to buy them today! Help 🙏

Since you don’t want them floor length, inside the trim.

Optionally, I think roman shades would look really nice. Would cover the window without blocking any trim

I would hang a rod right below the white rim and hang curtains left and right of the window and one in the middle hiding the small piece of wall between the windows. I don’t like those.
