How to make your bed 101

My previous post many of you asked me how I make my bed and where I got most of my bedding from. Please read because it’s informative. Never cheapen out on your bedding because you spend 8hours of your day sleeping. Get linen or cotton forget about the fancy bamboo and whatever that is in the market. Just stick to the basics! You will need:

1: fitted sheet

2: flat sheet

3: quilt/coverlet

4: duvet – now here is where you want to go all out for that hotel look. Double your duvet inserts. 2 duvet inserts inside one cover to make it fluffy. If you are a hot sleeper, look for cooling duvet inserts. Feather filled is nice but if you live in hot climate the lanolin feathers produce naturally will smell. If you really want a feather filled duvet insert you will buy from high end stores not amazon you will be smelling that duvet insert the summer time and it’ll not be pleasant.

Learn which colors are your favorite and tailor your bedding colors to that. Mix and match your linen and cotton it’s totally fine. Sheets, pillow cases, duvet inserts and cover on my bed are from pottery barn. Here is what you’ll search:
