Hi! Would love some layout advice. I’m attaching our floor plan + a couple photos.

We’re trying to keep the space clean and modern without clutter, but we’re stuck on where the dining table should go:

My boyfriend thinks it should go in the foyer/entry area

I think it should go in the nook by the window (right side behind the kitchen)

We also need to fit a living area (sectional + maybe 1 chair), a small desk, and possibly a console table.

Which layout makes the most sense? Any tips to keep it open but functional would be super helpful — thank you!

Is this all your furniture or what was already in the space?

If it’s not yours, will your couch be similarly sized? Do you already have a dining table?

I like the dining table by the window, but the cafe style table in the photos is a bit tall and I think it would probably block light and the view. I’d go for a standard height and probably put a plant on it. Then I’d do something for storage in that entry way so there’s less clutter with coats, boots and outside gear.

It’s recommended to place the dining table next to the window.
