Hi everyone, I opened this up to accompany a rack of lamb for Easter. Decanted for two hours, it felt somewhat muted. On the nose, oak and dark fruit. On the palate, a lot of cassis and graphite with dark fruit and mild oak. Finish was medium. It was very smooth, but I expected a bit more from Meyney. I have two more of these in the cellar and will wait a good few years before opening the next one. Anyone else taste this wine recently?

I have some ‘16 which I intend to keep for a while yet.

It ages well imo. I had a case of ‘85 which I drank between 2000 & 2010. It was excellent. Expansive black fruit/mineral nose with well balanced fruit & tannins.
