Hi- I have a high ceiling living room- it’s open concept so dining room is right next to it ..what size wall art should I get and color/design suggestions? There is a matching buffet table on the other wall…

I’m renting so can’t remove carpet…do you all suggest I add a rug under?

I think the rug would be too much. I think a nice mirror on that wall will make that space look bigger

Without any clue as to your color preferences, interests, etc., it’s impossible to advise on a specific piece of artwork. I personally do not like gallery walls (clusters of small artwork together on a wall), but rather, one impactful large piece of art on a wall this size. This will also put fewer holes in the wall, which is sometimes a consideration for renters depending on your lease. If you are permitted to paint, that may be something to consider also. Right now, the space is a blank slate.

As to a rug, if the carpet is in bad condition and you really want to hide it, it may be something to consider. You’ll need to have rug-on-rug pads so the rugs don’t move; I recommend Mohawk pads for this. Rugs can also help define spaces in an open floor plan.
