We have a smaller 2-bedroom in a hundred year old building so all the rooms are on the smaller side. We often have friends over, usually 3 to 6 people and seating runs out fast. Between the couch, chair, and ottoman we have 5 spots – the hammock makes 6. We’ve had it up for a couple weeks and I love it! My wife says it’s weird and doesn’t work in the space. What say you?

Functional and fun but it’s never gonna look right.

what if someone sits on it and leans back and falls out of your window

I think it’s a great solution for the space and it matches the vibe. Being able to unhook it and tuck it to one side easy would be a nice little touch

It’s definitely a choice that’s going to be a love it or hate it type of thing. I personally think it’s great functionally and decoratively. But I can 100% see how it can be viewed negatively.

I have huge questions about how you’ve anchored this, because normal screws ain’t gonna do it and based on the positioning of the hammock it looks like you’ve just sort of attached it where it’s convenient. I think someone will sit in this forcefully and it’s going destroy part of your wall.

I am mostly worried about how it’s hooked to the walls and what weight it will hold up to. Make sure people know, in case a larger person or a couple sits on it together and rips it off the way and their butts really hurt.

If that’s all set, I think it fits your vibe just fine!

My thought is this is awesome and you should definitely do it.
