So, we’ve just moved in to yet another military housing and our furniture I feel is overwhelming, my husband has blocked the door and placed the tv in the corner which I cannot stand. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciate before I lose my mind 😩

  1. The couch with the chaise should be flipped to the opposite wall. The love seat gets moved under the window. The TV gets moved to the opposite wall (where the chaise couch is currently). Use a longer TV stand/console to balance things.

Oh I feel this so bad—military housing layouts + your old furniture can feel like they’re fighting each other 😩 First, move the sectional away from the door! Flip it so the long side runs along the window wall, then the smaller sofa can go on the wall opposite, facing the TV. That way the entry stays open, the room feels way bigger, and you still have all your seating. You’ve got this, it’ll feel so much better once you’re not squeezing past the couch anymore 💪
