Hello, I posted before about how I want to change out the furniture I have as it doesn’t fit the flow of the living room any more (imo). I brought the couch from our old living room and it makes this one smaller. I was thinking of two couches parallel each other with two arm chairs/individual chairs- but unsure how that would work either given the placement of the TV and fireplace. Excuse the mess of the room in the pictures. Any suggestions of layouts/furniture is appreciated!
This is a type of couch I was thinking of but don’t know if L shape with chairs would work either. https://www.livingspaces.com/pdp-logansport-sand-beige-2-piece-power-reclining-sectional-with-right-arm-facing-chaise-and-adjustable-headrests-348111
Mostly like that it’s a deep couch and reclines (but also doesn’t look outdated or that it has the ability to recline unless you know it does). Also don’t know if it helps to know I have a golden retriever haha
Thank you in advance for any help!

Please just add something with some color.
I don’t actually think the layout is bad. If you get a rug with color in it and grab a tone that will look good with it for curtains I think your place will look infinitely better.
I think the couch is fine. Declutter if you can. Get rid of those small things end tables and the little things back in the kitchen dining area. Less is more with big furniture. It will look great but just keep it simple
What are those two poles with the bases behind the couch?
